They are mainly used in scenarios such as chemical anti-corrosion fasteners, aerospace structural components, electronic component electrodes, laboratory precision devices, and medical device accessories. As a classic pure zirconium-based alloy grade, R60702 relies on excellent high-temperature resistance (can work stably below 800℃ for a long time and withstand 1000℃ high temperature for a short time), outstanding corrosion resistance (has extremely strong resistance to most acids, alkalis, salts, molten metals and high-temperature gases, especially stable in strong corrosive chemical media), as well as the characteristics of pure material without impurity pollution and balanced mechanical properties.     Production Process

    1. Raw Material Preparation: High-purity sponge zirconium is extracted from zircon sand by mineral processing, chlorination, and reduction procedures. This zirconium is then repeatedly melted in a vacuum arc furnace to create zirconium ingots that satisfy R60702 grade requirements (uniform composition and qualified impurity content).
    2. Forging Processing: The zirconium ingot is heated to a specific temperature and then forged to refine grains, eliminate internal defects of the ingot, improve material density, and roll into rod-shaped blanks.
    3. Hot Rolling/Drawing Processing: The forged blanks are treated in accordance with the final product parameters (rod/wire). While zirconium wires are drawn into blanks near the finished product diameter using several drawing processes based on hot rolling, with exact control over the amount of deformation in each pass to guarantee dimensional accuracy, zirconium rods are rolled into blanks near the finished product diameter using a hot rolling process.
    4. Intermediate Annealing: In order to remove processing internal stress, restore material plasticity, and prevent cracking, breaking, and other issues in later processing, intermediate annealing is inserted throughout the hot rolling/drawing process.

    1. Finished Product Annealing: The hot-rolled or drawn zirconium rods and wires are subjected to finished product annealing treatment in accordance with the processing condition required by the customer (soft state, hard state). The annealing temperature and holding time are precisely controlled to guarantee that the material performance satisfies the requirements.
    2. Surface Treatment: The annealed zirconium rods/wires are subjected to surface treatment, which can choose pickling (removing oxide scale), bright annealing (improving surface finish) or polishing (achieving high mirror effect) to ensure surface quality.
    3. Finishing and Inspection: In order to ensure that the final products meet R60702 grade standards and customer requirements, they undergo finishing straightening, cutting, and winding. After that, they undergo stringent inspection, including composition re-inspection, dimensional precision inspection, surface quality inspection, mechanical performance inspection, straightness inspection, etc., with a material inspection report and quality certificate attached.
