As a classic American Standard grade of high-purity tantalum-based materials, R05200 pure tantalum plates & sheets inherit the core advantages of tantalum materials. Their extreme corrosion resistance enables strong tolerance to most strong acids, alkalis, molten salts, and high-temperature gases except hydrofluoric acid, maintaining long-term stability in strong corrosive media without contaminating contact substances.     Production Process

    1. Raw Material Preparation: High-purity tantalum sponge is extracted from tantalum ore using mineral processing, enrichment, reduction, and other techniques. This sponge is then refined and repeatedly melted in a vacuum arc furnace to produce high-purity tantalum ingots (Ta content ≥ 99.95%, uniform composition, extremely low impurity content) that meet American Standard R05200 grade.
    2. Hot Rolling Processing: In order to improve material density and remove internal imperfections, the tantalum ingot is heated to a particular temperature before being hot-rolled into a uniformly thick tantalum billet.
    3. Cold Rolling Processing: The hot-rolled billet is gradually rolled into a pure tantalum plate billet near the finished product specification to ensure dimensional accuracy after undergoing several cold rolling passes with exact control over the reduction amount per pass in accordance with the required finished product thickness.
    4. Intermediate Annealing: In order to remove processing internal stress, restore material plasticity, and prevent cracking, distortion, and other issues in later processing, intermediate annealing is introduced during the cold rolling process.

    Production Process

    1. Finished Product Annealing: The cold-rolled pure tantalum plates and sheets undergo completed product annealing treatment in accordance with the customer's required processing state (soft state, hard state), with exact control over the annealing temperature and holding time to guarantee that the material performance satisfies the requirements.
    2. Surface Treatment: To guarantee surface quality, the annealed pure tantalum plates and sheets are subjected to surface treatment, which can include pickling (which removes oxide scale) or bright annealing (which improves surface finish).
    3. Finishing and Inspection: The final products undergo on-demand trimming, cutting, and processing (drilling, milling, etc.) to ensure that their dimensions and shapes meet customer requirements. Strict inspections are then conducted, such as composition re-inspection, dimensional accuracy testing, surface quality testing, mechanical performance testing, etc., to guarantee that the product quality satisfies the requirements of ASTM B708 standard and American Standard R05200 grade. Material inspection reports and quality certificates are attached.
